Onboarding
Onboarding workflows that the platform actually owns — templates, task instances, document collection, policy acknowledgements, completion gates, and BGC blocking. New-hire and provisioning all happen in the same place; the onboarding coordinator stops chasing 30 things across 6 tools.
What's inside
Workflow instance lifecycle
Every new hire's onboarding is its own tracked instance from "not started" to "completed", with timestamps and audit at every transition. You always know where everyone stands without asking.
AvailableTemplate creation, versioning, and lifecycle
Build an onboarding template once per LOB, version it, and the system runs new hires through the right version automatically. When you change the template, in-flight onboardings keep their original version — no more retroactive surprises mid-flow.
AvailableTask assignment, status, overdue flagging
Tasks route to the right assignee based on role and team — IT for laptop provisioning, HR for paperwork, supervisor for shadow shifts. Overdue tasks surface automatically; you stop chasing managers in DMs.
AvailableCompletion validation
The system blocks an onboarding from being marked "complete" until required tasks, documents, and policy acks are all in. No more agent on the floor whose I-9 was never signed because someone forgot to check.
AvailableEmployee record + user account provisioning
Once the offer accept fires, the platform creates the employee record AND the user account, resolving any just-in-time conflicts (existing user with the same email, etc.). IT and HR don't double-key; nothing falls through the cracks.
AvailableBackground check gate, deferral, manual override
BGC outcome blocks onboarding by default — strict or conditional per LOB — with an audited manual override path for the cases legal pre-cleared. You stop scheduling agents whose check is still pending, and you have the audit trail when one does slip through.
AvailableDocument upload, verification, rejection with reason
New hires upload work-permit, void cheque, PIPEDA acknowledgement, etc. into the portal. HR reviews, accepts or rejects with a reason, and the new hire re-uploads — no email back-and-forth, no scanned PDFs lost in someone's inbox.
AvailablePolicy acknowledgement tasks (Policy Manager integration)
The handbook, code-of-conduct, and any LOB-specific policies show up as onboarding tasks; the new hire reads and e-signs each. Compliance has a clean audit trail; you stop printing policy packets.
